Stayzilla Files Shut Down Zilla Enters Sad Stories Book, Plans to Reboot Soon


The Founder’s of Stayzilla yesterday made an entry to Sad Stories Book by announcing the shut down of its Operations and planing to Reboot it with a different business model. The Startup was found in the Year 2005 and aggregated funds totaling to  34 Million Dollar funding in various rounds of funding.The Founders of Startupzilla are Yogendra Vasupal, Sachit Singhi and Rupal Yogendra and operated in Hospitality & Travel Space.It was the India’s Largest Startup in Network of Homestays.

Stayzilla entered the Sad Stories Book due to financial burden it was facing because of the high competition it had in this segment. The demand and supply both had to be balanced and created and in order create the supply the startup had invested heavily and to manage the home stay market  and be in market it had to offer huge discounts which led stayzilla shut down its operations.
